Week 65: A zippy week

Monday- I am grateful for clean floors, emails, friends, prophecies, and talks.
Tuesday- I am grateful for driving, anticipation, health, practicing, Richard, and The Holy Ghost.
Wednesday- I am grateful for an attitude of gratitude!
Thursday- I am grateful for exchanges w/ Elder Brown, bonfires, & guitar lessons.
Friday- I am grateful for honesty, stories, plans, and warmth.
Saturday- I am grateful for sticking to a schedule, missions, and persevering.
Sunday- I am grateful for The Priesthood, learning, and studying.

I went on exchanges with Elder Brown which was a great time we had a really good day. We did 2 different service projects, one was working at the food bank and packing up boxes of food and the other was at Habitat Restore where we cleaned up and priced items. We also had a lesson with a less active where we played guitars! It was so fun! Lastly, we ended the day with a bonfire. It was so nice to be out in the middle of nowhere again looking at the stars and only worrying about the fire. It was a good time.

Honestly this week has FLOWN!

I friended a WHOLE ton of people this week and so we sent a TON of videos to offer our friendly service of gaining eternal life.

It's been a really good week out here.

I have had some very rewarding studies this week and the more you study the more you love it and want to learn more! That's just how it works I guess.

On Sunday I got to participate in giving 2 blessings and that is always a blessing. I love the feeling and assurance of knowing that I am worthy and prepared to have The Lord work through me.

We got approved to teach in homes again! And surprisingly we got to use it right away! We taught our friend The Plan of Salvation in his home and it was SO weird to be back to that. The Spirit was so strong and I'm so grateful for that familiar friend 😁.

I've gone off sugar. Pray for me.

Love y'all and I'd love to hear from you!!

Week 64: National Guard and Snow Frisbee

Monday- I am grateful for my ukulele and guitar, communication, and experience.
Tuesday- I am grateful for health, 50°, effort, and The SUN.
Wednesday- I am grateful for HOPE, hair, cereal, and calm.
Thursday- I am grateful for jumping, basketball, my legs, and service!
Friday- I am grateful for weights, food, cleanliness, and fresh snow.
Saturday- I am grateful today for throwing the frisbee, focus, potatoes, and cooking.
Sunday- I am grateful for ribs, ovens, learning, guitar and ukulele jams, fasting, and productivity.

For some good reason it was just 50° degrees one day!! We did as much as we could outside! It was beautiful. I miss the warmth and sunlight.

We had zone council and it was pretty rad. There were some real nice trainings and a great musical number.

They've defunded the police, uh oh.

We did some service at Habitat!! It's the BEST!! All we did was sort through donations and trash them or price them. Pretty good time

We also did service at the food bank, we sent out 300 boxes of food to families! It's good to serve 😁

We drove 40 minutes to go help a member move a fridge and wowzers that opened my eyes. It was quite gross that's all I've gotta say. But it started snowing, and so on the way back I might've drifted all 4 of us around a corner at high speeds. It was quite terrifying honestly. I'm grateful to be safety and protected.

We all maxed out on bench one night and it was pretty hype. We are a party.

We were all real dead Saturday morning so we bundled up and threw the frisbee in the fresh snow, it was a good time.

This was a weird week honestly. Not quite sure how I feel about it. But on to the next one!

We drove by the capital yesterday and it's full of the national guard and their hummers. Kinda crazy but Springfield Illinois is pretty quiet and we live in the woods so we will be good no matter what.

We did hear about a shoot out with the police though :(

Let me know how y'all are doing!

Love ya!

Ribs for dinner, yum!

Week 63: A real doozy

Merica'

Monday- I am grateful for vitamins, stories, and sports.
Tuesday- I am grateful for laughs, milk, cleaning, and The Sun!
Wednesday- I am grateful for ice, repentance, interviews, and weird days.
Thursday- I am grateful for serving, The 1st Vision, Chick-fil-a, and teaching.
Friday- I am grateful for The Plan of Salvation, The Comforter, and being outside.
Saturday- I am grateful for mansions, dishes, studies, and basketball.
Sunday- I am grateful for videos, learning, life, and new days.

We had interviews with President and they were superrrr good. I love interviews. We also filmed a video on our iced over pond. So that was pretty fun.

There's been some good sunsets this week and I'm very grateful for those guys and the peace they bring me. 😁

I've learned quite a bit about repentance and it has just been amazing! I love how repentance is an outward show of our inner faith. It's us choosing to change and become more like our Savior.

A member gave us money for dinner one night and so we went to chick-fil-a and just ordered whatever we wanted and the total came out to $76, that's whack.

We also rescued some Sisters who ran out of gas.

I'm grateful for weird dreams. They keep things interesting.

We got to get outside and do some service today!! We helped a family move and they had a HUGE truck, it was nuts but we got it done.

We've been working really hard on the devotional for Sunday.

When I heard that Jake Smith passed away, I didn't quite know how to process it. Later that night I gradually felt peace. I felt comforted by The Holy Ghost and know that he will comfort you too, if you search for him.

We had exchanges and I stayed in my area this time. It was a good day.

I miss being outside 24/7.

Our Sunday was whack. We were at the church the whole day and we had our brand new "Choose Hope" devotional premier that night. It was stressful and kinda got screwed over. Lowkey a flop but it's all a learning progress. We move forward.

My friend's dad passed away the other day and that was the 2nd death that I personally know this week. It's been a scary week worldwide honestly and I'm forever grateful for the peace that is my knowledge of The Plan of Salvation and the safety that is The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Love y'all

Reach out to Jesus, He is reaching out to you.

If there is anything I can do for any of y'all let me know❤

Week 62: A noneventful old year

Transfers

Tuesday- I am grateful for the trust of the Lord, righteousness, and the spirit which trusteth all understanding.
Wednesday- I am grateful for prayers, hair, memes, and chicken.
Thursday- I am grateful for perseverance, faith, hope, and 2020.
Friday- I am grateful for exercise, 2021, and new brooms.
Saturday- I am grateful for D&C, fingers, snow, blessings, answers, and sleep!
Sunday- I am grateful for beanies, Google Maps, Brazil, and the scriptures.

A new elder named Elder Ross came in and we made fajitas.

The year ended and it's real whack to think that I'll be going home this year!!!

I was sweeping and the broom literally snapped in half.

We had some good food this week.

It's 2021 now!! Super crazy. We did absolutely nothing to celebrate the new year, but that's alright. I got to call my family for a little! I remembered last year and how I didn't even know that it was New Years Eve and just woke up to fireworks absolutely erupting around me at midnight and realizing oh right it's 2020 now. Well there wasn't much of that this year. There was no trace of a sound or firework on New Years.

We had freezing rain the next day, it was pretty cool to wake up and see everything frozen. We also got a tiny bit of snow. It was pitiful but something.

I missed Brazil this week.

I started studying Doctrine and Covenants for Come Follow Me and it's awesome! I love study guides sometimes and I'm committed to slowing myself down and just doing the weekly assignment haha.

I got a migraine this week, survived 🥳

We've spent a lot of time at the church this week, doing the technical side for the new devotional the mission is doing because we are in charge of that.

Well we actually got dumped on with snow on Sunday! It was so pretty! Everything was covered!
