How much milk can you drink?
Wednesday- I am grateful for service and talking to people.
Thursday- I am grateful for playing the ukulele and being busy and happy.
Friday- I am grateful for milk.
Saturday- I am grateful for packages.
Sunday- I am grateful for fasting, a living prophet, and being swept away in thought.
Service is the best
Missouri isn't too different from Lehi, there's a lot of girls driving Jeeps.
This week was good good good. I learned some good things. We got to help give out free milk for 3 hours on Tuesday and doing service made me so happy. We are doing it 2 times this week!!
We have had slow progress with our online and over the phone finding and teaching but we are recognizing our miracles and are happy with our efforts :)
AMANDA got baptized, she was completely taught by the companionship before me but I'm still grateful that I got to be a part of her baptism. I recognized a couple things from that baptism and for probably the first time in my life. I thought real hard about the months leading up to my baptism. I got to bear my testimony at the small baptismal service and it was so sweet. I ended up bearing my testimony on the small and simple things and it was all from the Spirit :)

Running here lowkey sucks. It's more like I'm drinking the air than breathing it in. One time it was super foggy and then the fog just like snapped and everything on me was covered in water droplets and I was wet.
I don't mind using Facebook and how I can reach so many people and stay in touch with things back home. It's comforting. I actually really like doing our Live studies every night because it's fun to relate scriptural stuff to every day things.
This chair is just my size.
We had some excellent trainings, one on meekness and integrity and I loved how meekness was defined-having the spiritual receptivity to learn from all people, especially the ones who you do not think you could learn something from.
Keep up with sunset love.
Then on Sunday night we had a Devotional with a General Authority who is over all the missions in the central US and it was super motivating. "Seek the Lord, Serve your neighbor, Support yourself" and how labels limit us. He was in a meeting with President Nelson and he taught how labels limit us. A student, B student, teacher, doctor, etc. But, the only thing that never limits us is that we are a son or daughter of God.
I also felt the Spirit bear witness to me during the Devo that The Savior is directing His church through President Nelson.

Message me I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!
I am learning to play the piano slowly and am playing my ukulele nearly everyday:)
Also here's a good story for ya. If you've gotten this far. So I was cleaning out the piercings that I have to help reduce my chances of getting a migraine. And the top ball on my right one popped off! I couldn't get it back on because the part that I need to screw it into was inside my ear and behind some cartilage. So we went tattoo parlor hunting to try to get that ball back on. We tried 2 places and one wouldn't do it cuz they weren't licensed and the other place didn't know how to get to the spot. So we went to a 3rd tattoo parlor and this dude sat me down and pulled out the earring from the bottom and then was going to put the top on and take the bottom ball off and then push it back in through the top. Well anyways this guy ended up pulling and pushing on my ear for 30 minutes trying to get the earring back in. I was sweating like nothing else and told him that I was this
close to throwing up and so he got me a trash can. I asked what else he could do and he said that he could put another earring in it that is a ring, its much easier to deal with and easier to clean and super quick. I gave up, my ear was killing me and I was gonna throw up so I told him to just put the ring in there. So he did and it was super quick and nearly painless. When I sat up the paper backing that he laid down on the chair was completely soaked, the whole thing. So now I have a super obvious earring but I don't even notice them anymore. It does strike up some good conversations and I would rather explain to people why I have weird earrings than just let them sit there and judge me. Anyways that was my adventure. I have gone one full week without any migraines so that's a huge blessing and I am very grateful.
Original piercing still in right ear.
New piercing now in left ear.

ReplyDeleteHi Elder Morrison, I'm not getting my notes to stay connected to this box. If this one doesn't work, I give up. I'll use regular email - that I understand. Anyway, I can see you are struggling with the Northern American variety of humidity. Must be a little different from you found south of the Equator. I hope you are finding it easier to do your gospel study in English, you don't need to sit there and wonder what to translate as you read in Portuguese.
Ukulele? I thought that was Collin's thing - - -stringed instruments. Get used to seeing lots of streams, lakes and reservoirs, there are lots of them in that region. Grandpa Morrison
