Slower week compared to what we normally do but still a very excellent one. We contacted lots of members and people from Areabook.
Wowity wow wow September FLEW and so did this transfer!
We went to Illinois on Monday to go on a hike. It was epicccc! We found 2 baby snapping turtles, a weird lizard, and like 3 toads. It was cool. Still no mountains tho
We got to go to a high school football game on Friday night because one investigator is on the team, another is the coach and lots of ward members were there to support so it was super fun and weird. I'm very grateful.
We also had a party weekend, as party as a mission can get, because we got to spend Saturday night with some other Elders and sleep over. It was a party with a lot of funny stories.
General conference was outstanding and I felt The Spirit testify to me multiple times throughout the conference of the truthfulness of the messages. My comp also described it perfectly. "General conference is like filling a shot glass with a firehouse" yeah, Sunday night I just felt dead, yet enlightened. I am very grateful for conference and to be able to continually study the talks that were given.
We helped out our friend Kevin and chopped up tons of logs for him, it's really satisfying to chop logs.
I invited a guy to be baptized over Facebook messenger! He reached out to our Facebook page a week ago and we have been talking to him just through messenger and decided to invite him to be baptized, he accepted and said hallelujah!
Now the guy lives in Ethiopia and I think he’s been using Google Translate to talk with us but I think it’ll be alright. We sent his contact info to the closest mission to him and are hoping that they can reach out to him soon.
I ran a mile time trial on Saturday, felt good, and it's getting cold. I can’t feel my legs when I'm running anymore, it's sort of a strange feeling. But hey that's looking up cuz my Mom sent me my winter running stuff. Thank goodness for my Mom
Transfers are tomorrow and Elder Brown is leaving and we are getting a new one and keeping the trio I'm hyped to still be in a trio it's the best. But also sad Elder Brown is leaving 🥺.
I looked a little more into Family History and felt the presence of my ancestors. It was precious.
Love y’all
God is good.
I'm not dead yet.
